We Stand Up for You
This year, your Student Advocates, Selena Ferreira (Humber) and Emily Edwards (Guelph-Humber), took your priorities directly to decision-makers. They pushed for fair compensation in unpaid placements, better food options on campus, and policies that put students first.
Advocacy Summit
Your advocates represented you at the CSA Advocacy Summit, ensuring Ontario decision-makers heard directly from Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber students about what needs to change.
Food Security Initiatives
Partnering with the Humber Food Learning Garden, we hosted pop-up Farmers Markets with free, fresh produce. We also amplified your concerns at Chartwells food forums, because your feedback on campus dining matters.
Time is Money Campaign
Students shouldn’t have to choose between gaining experience and paying rent. Our Time is Money campaign demands that Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber mandate compensated work-integrated learning opportunities. We’re making unpaid work visible and creating pathways to fair pay for future students.
